Pitek as vice president of sales and Mark C. Vellequette as chief financial officer to the final open slots in the company's management team. Pitek has also held executive positions at Qwest, Frontier Communications (now Global Crossing) and Eastman Kodak Company. He holds five patents, including one of the first software patents issued in the United States obtained during his tenure at Eastman Kodak Company. Pitek holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. He lives in the Denver area with his wife, son and daughter. Mark Vellequette, CFO, brings to Syngistix fifteen years of experience in finance and leadership in high-technology companies, including extensive knowledge and accomplishment in both IPO activities and finance and administration management. As CFO for bCandid Corporation, Vellequette negotiated two rounds of funding, increased revenue by over 400% in FY 1999, and was instrumental in negotiating the sale of bCandid to Software.com. He began his high-tech career in finance at Intel in Santa Clara, CA. He received a B.S. in Commerce, Finance from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business. He lives in the Denver area with his wife.
